November YA Chronicles Unboxing

When I heard that The YA Chronicles November box was Welcome to wonderland I was excited, I love Alice in Wonderland (like a lot of people) and was looking forward to what items and book they were going to fill their amazing box with.

Okay, enough with the introduction and let’s get into this amazing box!

I opened the box to the brightest red paper I have seen, it was beautifully folded and just waiting for me to open it.

Upon opening the paper I made a noise that wasn’t human, it was more of a happy squeal. The first thing I saw when opening the paper was two Alice in Wonderland bookmarks from the amazing store Read and Wonder. I have bought from their store before and I can’t wait to add The Queen of Hearts and the Cheshire cat to my collection20161126_123201

The next item was the bookmark with the theme of the box on it, this bookmark is one of my favourites, not only is it red, which is one of my favourite colours, but it has a faded picture of the mad hatter’s tea party as the base. Also included was the card saying what is in the box, of course this is now displayed on the bookshelf.

The next two items I was really excited to see, as a tea addict seeing a tea infuser and a small bottle of tea leaves in the box was the best thing in the world.

The heart shaped tea infuser will fit in well with my collection and is different from other ones I have, the tea is a Vanilla Rooibos blend from the West End Tea Co. and it tastes great, I love Vanilla Rooibos as it doesn’t have caffeine which means I can drink it all the time. I’m really enjoying this tea blend and will be checking out the West End Tea Co. to add more tea to my collection.

The next item was a poster of retelling recommendations made by the team at The YA Chronicles. There are a few recommendations that seem interesting and I will be checking some of them out.  I always struggle with recommendations and this poster was a huge help to me.

And last but not least we have the book, this month we were given Heartless by Marissa Meyer. I haven’t read any of Marissa’s work but I have heard great things, so I am looking forward to reading this.

Catherine may be one of the most desired girls in Wonderland and a favorite of the unmarried King, but her interests lie elsewhere. A talented baker, she wants to open a shop and create delectable pastries. But for her mother, such a goal is unthinkable for a woman who could be a queen.

At a royal ball where Cath is expected to receive the King’s marriage proposal, she meets handsome and mysterious Jest. For the first time, she feels the pull of true attraction. At the risk of offending the King and infuriating her parents, she and Jest enter into a secret courtship.

Cath is determined to choose her own destiny. But in a land thriving with magic, madness, and monsters, fate has other plans.

It was really hard to pick a favourite item from the Welcome to Wonderland box and even now I’m torn between the bookmarks and the tea… I can’t decide! I love them both.

This box was amazing and I can’t wait to see what will be in the December box ‘Simply Wonderful’ with a name like that, the team at The YA Chronicles must have some wonderful things to share with us.

If you would like to check The YA Chronicles out for yourself, you can find their website here or to check out some of their amazing photos, as well as sneak peaks to their next box you can see that on their Instagram here.

I hope you all enjoyed this month’s unboxing, and will go check out some of these stores for some amazing products. I’ll see you all again in December for the Simply Wonderful unboxing.

Happy reading everyone!

Jessica.
